Current Research

Parallel Algorithms for Genome Assembly

Genome assembly is a classical problem in bioinformatics. My research involves designing and developing scalable parallel algorithms in order to accomplish large-scale plant, animal and microbial genome assemblies.

Past Research

NWChem

Project involves minimizing cost of data movement by optimizing data-reuse on large scale GA-based applications as seen in the CCSD module of NWChem quantum chemistry package.

OpenUH compiler

Implemented support for handling explicit data dependencies among tasks in the OpenMP Tasking Model. These extensions implemented in the runtime library of the OpenUH compiler provide support for enabling point to point synchronizations among OpenMP tasks.
